As part of the implementation of the Development Strategy of JSC “Orleu” National Center for Professional Development for 2025–2029, a diagnostic assessment was conducted to evaluate the professional preparedness of graduates from pedagogical higher education institutions.

The event was jointly organized by the West Kazakhstan Regional Branch of JSC “Orleu” National Center for Professional Development and Makhambet Utemisov West Kazakhstan University.

The diagnostic assessment was held on May 25, 26, 28, and 29, 2025. A total of 158 graduates expressed their interest in participating, of whom 148 completed the assessment.

The primary objective of the assessment was to determine the level of subject-specific competencies and socio-emotional skills of future teachers, as well as to evaluate their professional potential. The assessment covered the following subject areas: Primary Education, Kazakh Language, Russian Language, English Language, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, and History.

The results of the assessment will contribute to the formation of a talent pool for the “Schools of the Future” project, help identify professional development pathways for graduates of pedagogical universities, and support educational institutions in recruiting qualified young professionals.

Based on the assessment results, an analysis of the participants’ level of professional preparedness will be conducted. Further activities aimed at supporting and fostering their professional growth will also continue.

On May 29, 2026, final-year students of the Faculty of History, Economics and Law at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University participated in a meeting held at the Department of Internal State Audit for the West Kazakhstan Region of the Internal State Audit Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The event was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on April 6, 2026, between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University. 

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize students with the activities of the internal state audit system, provide information on career opportunities within the civil service, and support the professional development and career orientation of future specialists. During the event, representatives of the Department provided detailed information on the key responsibilities and areas of activity of the internal state audit bodies, as well as their role within the system of public financial control. In addition, students received information on the procedures for entering the civil service, employment opportunities for vacant positions, ways to gain professional experience, and the requirements applied to civil servants. As part of the meeting, the specialists discussed the specific features of audit activities and shared their professional experience with students interested in pursuing careers in the public sector. During the open discussion, participants had the opportunity to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers from the Department’s experts.Such events contribute to broadening students’ professional perspectives, helping them better understand the current demands of the labor market and make informed decisions regarding their future careers. Cooperation between the University and government institutions is aimed at developing students’ practical skills and creating favorable conditions for their successful professional growth and career development.

On May 28, 2026, final-year students of the Faculty of History, Economics and Law at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University took part in a meeting held at the Department of State Revenues for the West Kazakhstan Region.

The event was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on April 6, 2026, between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University.

The main purpose of the meeting was to familiarize students with the specifics of the civil service system, support their professional orientation, and provide comprehensive information about career opportunities within government agencies.

During the event, specialists from the Department of State Revenues presented the institution’s main areas of activity, organizational structure, and key functions. In addition, students received detailed information on the procedures for entering the civil service, available job vacancies, opportunities for gaining professional experience, and the requirements for employment.

During the meeting, representatives of the Department discussed the role of the civil service in society, its advantages, and the responsibilities of civil servants. They also provided detailed answers to participants’ questions. The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format, enabling graduates to gain a clearer understanding of their future professional careers.

On May 26, 2026, M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University hosted a meeting between students and representatives of the Chingirlau District Akimat Administration and the District Career Center as part of the University's Open Doors Month initiative.

The purpose of the event was to inform graduating students about employment opportunities, familiarize them with the district’s workforce needs, and encourage young professionals to enter the labor market.

The meeting was attended by a delegation headed by Islambek Aibek Zhanshauly, Deputy Akim of Chingirlau District. During an open dialogue with students, the delegation provided comprehensive information on the district’s socio-economic development, in-demand professions in the labor market, support mechanisms for young specialists, and available employment opportunities. Representatives of the district also introduced students to ongoing development projects, government programs, and social support measures available to professionals. In addition, graduates were informed about the opportunities and advantages of starting their careers in rural areas.

One of the highlights of the meeting was an address by university alumnus, member of the Alumni Association, and Director of the Chingirlau District Cultural and Leisure Center, Tilegen Kenzhetayevich Kaliyev. On May 22, 2026, graduates of the Economics educational program at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University took part in a meeting held at the Department of State Treasury for the West Kazakhstan Region.

The event was organized within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation signed on April 6, 2026, between the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University.

The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize graduates with the specifics of public service, provide information on career opportunities within the public sector, and encourage young professionals to pursue careers in government service. During the event, specialists from the Department of State Treasury delivered a detailed presentation on the institution’s key areas of activity, the procedures for entering public service, employment opportunities for vacant positions, as well as prospects for professional development and career advancement.In addition, the students had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and receive comprehensive answers from experienced professionals. The meeting was conducted in an open dialogue format, allowing graduates to gain a deeper understanding of the nature and responsibilities of public service. On May 20, 2026, as part of the “Open Doors Month” initiative, the Akim’s Office of Kurmangazy District, Atyrau Region, organized an online meeting with graduates via the Zoom platform.

The main purpose of the event was to enhance the prestige of civil service among young people, explain the procedures for entering civil service, and provide information on the opportunities available to young professionals.

During the meeting, participants were provided with comprehensive information about the role of civil service in society, the specifics of working within the public administration system, the requirements for candidates applying for civil service positions, and the procedures for competitive recruitment. In addition, explanatory information was presented regarding professional development opportunities within the civil service sector and support measures available to young specialists.

During the online meeting, graduates had the opportunity to ask questions of interest and receive detailed answers from specialists. The event was held in an open dialogue format, fostering constructive discussions and the exchange of views between young people and representatives of the government body.

On May 19, 2026, as part of the “Open Doors Month,” an informational meeting was organized for university graduates with the participation of specialists from the Career Center of the Terekty District. During the event, participants were provided with detailed information about current job vacancies in the Terekty District labor market, support measures for young specialists, in-demand fields of activity, and opportunities for professional development. In addition, participants were informed about state youth programs, internship opportunities, projects aimed at starting a professional career, as well as important guidance on career choice. The meeting was held in an open format, allowing students and graduates to receive detailed answers to their questions. The main purpose of the event was to facilitate the adaptation of young people to the labor market, assist in professional self-determination, and support their future employment.

On May 15, 2026, the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov hosted the Job Fair “Career Day – 2026” as part of the “Open Doors Month” initiative. The main objective of this large-scale event was to support graduate employment, establish direct connections with employers, and assist young specialists in adapting to the labor market. Graduates from 6 faculties of the university, representing 60 educational programs, participated in the job fair. Students explored job vacancies related to their specialties, had the opportunity to communicate directly with employers, and submit their résumés. During the event, speeches were delivered by Kaysagaliyeva Gulzhakhan Smaiylovna, Member of the Board for Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector of the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov; Aynam Mukhambetkaliyevna Kazmukhambetova, Deputy Director of the Center for Labor Mobility of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the West Kazakhstan Region Akimat; as well as Dudnichenkov Mikhail Mikhailovich, alumnus of the university, member of the Alumni Association, General Director of “IT GROUP KAZAKHSTAN” LLP, and Antonina Alexandrovna Bigaliyeva, methodologist of the Education Department of Uralsk city. More than 70 organizations and institutions took part in “Career Day – 2026.” Participants provided students with information about job vacancies, internship opportunities, and labor market requirements, and also conducted direct interviews with graduates. Within the framework of the event, an open dialogue platform was organized between students and employers, where graduates received professional consultations and submitted their résumés in their chosen fields. “Career Day – 2026” became an important event that gave strong momentum to the professional development of graduates and strengthened cooperation between the university and employers.

On May 19, 2026, an online information session was held at M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University for graduating undergraduate and master's students. The meeting was conducted via the Zoom platform with the participation of Raimbek Batalov, a specialist from JSC “Financial Center”.

The purpose of the session was to provide undergraduate and master's degree students studying under the state educational grant and approaching graduation with comprehensive information on their mandatory employment obligations, as well as to explain the current legal and regulatory requirements governing this process.

During the event, participants received detailed information on the procedure for mandatory employment, the required period of service, designated employment placements, as well as the grounds for exemption from or deferral of the employment obligation in accordance with Paragraph 17 of Article 47 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Education” and Order No. 403 of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, issued in 2023.The session also included a question-and-answer segment, during which graduates received comprehensive explanations regarding key aspects of the mandatory employment requirement. Participants were able to address issues of concern and obtain important information related to their future professional activities.

On May 18, 2026, as part of the “Open Doors Month,” a meeting with university graduates was held with the participation of representatives from the Employment Center of Taskala District. During the meeting, participants were provided with detailed information about job vacancies in Taskala District, opportunities for young professionals, in-demand occupations in the labor market, and employment pathways. In addition, the graduates were informed about state support measures, youth internship programs, the “First Workplace” project, and issues related to career guidance. The meeting was held in an open format, allowing participants to receive answers to their questions. The main purpose of the event was to support young professionals in adapting to the labor market and to facilitate their successful employment.
