“Career Day – 2026”: Job Fair Held at WKU

On May 15, 2026, the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov hosted the Job Fair “Career Day – 2026” as part of the “Open Doors Month” initiative. The main objective of this large-scale event was to support graduate employment, establish direct connections with employers, and assist young specialists in adapting to the labor market. Graduates from 6 faculties of the university, representing 60 educational programs, participated in the job fair. Students explored job vacancies related to their specialties, had the opportunity to communicate directly with employers, and submit their résumés. During the event, speeches were delivered by Kaysagaliyeva Gulzhakhan Smaiylovna, Member of the Board for Academic Affairs and Vice-Rector of the West Kazakhstan University named after M. Utemisov; Aynam Mukhambetkaliyevna Kazmukhambetova, Deputy Director of the Center for Labor Mobility of the Department for Coordination of Employment and Social Programs of the West Kazakhstan Region Akimat; as well as Dudnichenkov Mikhail Mikhailovich, alumnus of the university, member of the Alumni Association, General Director of “IT GROUP KAZAKHSTAN” LLP, and Antonina Alexandrovna Bigaliyeva, methodologist of the Education Department of Uralsk city. More than 70 organizations and institutions took part in “Career Day – 2026.” Participants provided students with information about job vacancies, internship opportunities, and labor market requirements, and also conducted direct interviews with graduates. Within the framework of the event, an open dialogue platform was organized between students and employers, where graduates received professional consultations and submitted their résumés in their chosen fields. “Career Day – 2026” became an important event that gave strong momentum to the professional development of graduates and strengthened cooperation between the university and employers.
