As part of the Upgrade Project, initiated by the Career and Employment Center of M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, massive open online courses were organized for university graduates of 2024, 2025, and 2026. The main objective of the project is to support graduates’ professional development, provide opportunities to acquire additional knowledge and develop modern skills, and enhance their competitiveness in the labor market. As part of the project, the Career and Employment Center carried out extensive work to engage graduates in the training program, identify their professional interests and needs, and provide guidance in selecting relevant educational areas. In cooperation with the Center for Distance and Online Learning, the university organized and delivered massive open online courses through a dedicated educational platform. The online training lasted for three months. During this period, participants studied learning materials in their chosen fields, attended classes, and completed practical assignments. Taking into account the professional interests and educational needs of graduates, a wide range of courses was offered. In particular, participants had access to online courses in Psychology, General Psychology, Fundamentals of Defectology, Special Pedagogy, Fundamentals of Supporting Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Early Intervention for Autism Spectrum Disorders in Preschool Organizations, Teaching Technologies for Children with Special Educational Needs, English Language, Organic Chemistry, Physicochemical Analysis, Genetics, Environmental Monitoring, Fundamentals of Cartography and Topography, Python Programming, Russian Speech Culture, and Physics. A total of 54 graduates participated in the project. Following the three-month training program, 24 graduates successfully completed the educational program and received certificates, representing 48% of the total number of participants. The project concluded with a certificate award ceremony for graduates who successfully completed their courses. During the event, the participants’ strong motivation and active engagement were highlighted, and they were wished continued professional success and new achievements. The Upgrade Project is one of the university’s significant initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation with its graduates. The project has provided graduates with an opportunity to continue their professional education after completing their university studies, expand their competencies, acquire additional skills in demand in the labor market, and broaden their opportunities for further career development. The Career and Employment Center of M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University will continue implementing new projects and initiatives aimed at developing the professional potential of graduates, supporting their career growth, and facilitating successful employment.
